Preparing for the production of railway spare parts required a major modernization of production facilities: the existing automatic molding lines produced by the American company HERMAN were subjected to major modernization - the size of the flasks was increased, and obsolete and worn-out components were replaced. Additionally, new equipment, including imported equipment, was purchased.

The following range of products for freight railway cars has been mastered: side frame, bolster, axle box cover, friction wedge, axle box body, draft gear body, traction clamp, SA-3 automatic coupler assembly, fixed shoe, M1698 modernization kit. Work is underway to prepare for the production of other spare parts and components for cars. In the future it is planned to complete mechanical restoration of all manufactured products and assembly of the main components of cars.

Railway castings are always subject to special quality requirements - the safety of train traffic depends on this. All products intended for JSC Russian Railways before the start of mass production undergoes certification in the relevant organizations, the enterprise is constantly monitored by specialists from the Department of Carriage Facilities of JSC Russian Railways. To improve the mechanical properties, castings undergo heat treatment (normalization and tempering) in continuous tunnel furnaces. Thanks to the development of new products, there is a constant increase in production volumes, production areas are expanding, and the number of jobs is growing.

Reinforcement casting

"Promlit" has extensive experience in the production and supply of large cast blanks of shut-off valves for enterprises in Russia and foreign countries. In particular, the company has been cooperating for many years with Vodopribor Plant OJSC (Moscow) and Milliken Valve Co. (USA), in the production of bodies, covers, valves and other large parts of shut-off valves with nominal passage diameters of 150-1200 mm and nominal operating pressure up to 3.2 MPa. In accordance with technical requirements The customer tests products at operating pressure, partial or complete mechanical processing. The company's machine park is constantly expanding, so that its machining capabilities are also growing.

At the end of 2005, the company put into operation a new automatic line vacuum-film molding produced by Heinrich Wagner-Sinto (Germany). This made it possible to increase volumes and significantly improve the quality of products.

Castings obtained by vacuum film molding differ in a number of ways positive qualities. It's more high accuracy casting using minimal or even zero casting slopes, high metal density, absence of porosity, cavities, burns and many other casting defects. The size of the flasks on the new line is 3000x1800x500/500 mm, which makes it possible to produce high-quality reinforcing castings in a very wide range of sizes.

Electroslag and powder metallurgy

One of the areas of production activity of the enterprise is the production of blanks by electroslag casting and products from metal powders based on iron-graphite and bronze materials.

The main form-building methods for producing workpieces using the ESL method are metal solidification in a water-cooled crystallizer and centrifugal casting. Available production capacities allow the production of workpieces weighing up to 2.5 tons with maximum dimensions up to 1200 mm in diameter and length up to 1500 mm in a water-cooled crystallizer, and using centrifugal casting - weighing from 100 to 350 kg with a maximum diameter of 1000 mm. General productive capacity electroslag casting workshop - 5000 tons/year.

ESL castings provide high mechanical properties and make it possible to obtain combined workpieces with associated melting of rolled products (pipes, circles, squares and other profiles) or forged semi-finished products. The cast part can be of a more complex shape than the welded part of the rolled stock (forgings). Metal components combined blanks can be either the same grade of steel or different. It is possible to obtain bimetallic blanks.

ESL castings made it possible to partially replace forgings and are successfully used in critical components of industrial tractors of JSC Promtractor of the T11 - T50 class (drive wheels, gears and hubs of final drives, suspension axles and attachments). ESL blanks are successfully used in the production of crane wheels and rolls rolling mills, blanks for pressing, machining and other equipment. They are also used in the production of forgings for diesel crankshafts instead of evacuated steel. Centrifugal electroslag casting produces castings of balls for industrial ball valves with a size of DN 300 or more. These products are purchased by leading valve factories Russia.

Powder production specializes in the manufacture of a wide range of anti-friction and structural products based on iron (with the addition of copper, nickel, graphite, sulfur), copper-based (tin bronze, lead (BrO10S10)), as well as products from electrical materials (copper, copper- graphite).

The plant has a unique 1000-ton hydraulic press for pressing powder products: from ferro-graphite materials - up to 200 cm2, from copper and bronze powders - up to 400 cm2.

The manufactured products are widely used in the automotive industry (valve bushing, stator bushing, ball joint holder); machine tool industry; tractor manufacturing (bushings, washers for road wheels of T-170 industrial tractors, bushings for the DT-75 sun gear, spacer bushings for track links); electrical industry (sliding electrical contacts, electric motor stators).
