  • about four hundred pieces of disposable white cups;
  • several blue and red cups;
  • stapler;
  • hot glue gun;
  • colored paper;
  • cardboard;
  • baby bucket;

How to make a snowman out of plastic cups: step by step instructions

  1. You should start working with the formation of the body of the snowman. Depending on what size the craft you want to get in the end, take required amount white cups and connect them in a circle with a stapler or glue gun. Make several rows in this way. Remember that in each subsequent row it is necessary to subtract one glass, otherwise you will not get the ideal ball shape.
  2. Make out the buttons immediately. How to do it? We design a snowman from plastic cups in the same style. In the fourth row, exactly in the middle, you need to attach one blue glass, then do this through the row until the ball is formed.
  3. Make a belt for the snowman. To do this, take red cups and connect them to each other.
  4. Use a similar technique to make two balls. Of course, the second should be slightly smaller in diameter than the first. Connect the balls to each other by placing cardboard inside. This will make the structure more stable.
  5. Make the third ball. This will be the head of the snowman. Don't forget to craft your eyes, mouth and nose with colored cups and colored paper. Here, your imagination will already tell you how it would be best to do this.
  6. What is a snowman without a hat? We will not leave our craft without a headdress either, we will take a baby bucket and glue it to the head. Above - tinsel.
  7. We knit a scarf.
  8. Seems like something is missing? Of course, we didn’t make our arms and legs, we didn’t put on a broom. Once again, disposable cups and a branch of a tree will help us in this matter. Follow detailed instructions and no longer think about how to make a snowman out of plastic cups. The master class will help you cope with the task.

Making a snowman is not difficult

Did you think that making a snowman is a time-consuming process? It's not like that at all. For successful enterprise it is enough to stock up on the right amount of improvised material and the desire to make an interesting toy that will delight both children and adults with its funny look. Be aware that the financial costs of creating such a craft are extremely small. It doesn't take too much money to make a funny snowman, even a very large one.

The craft will look more interesting and advantageous if you place a Christmas tree garland or LED cord inside it. Then the snowman should be installed near the outlet. It is forbidden to place light bulbs inside the toy, as they become very hot during operation and can melt plastic cups.

The quality of the source material also plays an important role, because even rather minor defects or differences can negate all your efforts. That is why it is important to purchase plastic cups from the same batch and in one point of sale... Avoid buying disposable tableware with rims as it will be difficult to avoid large seams between rows. This means that the spherical shape of the elements is unlikely to be achieved. Don't be afraid to stock up on a few more cups than originally planned. After all, some of them may be defective.

How to make a plastic cup snowman more stable? To keep the snowman firmly on the floor or other surface, glue it with double-sided tape.

Design options

You can decorate the toy as you like, but it cannot do without eyes and nose in any case. If you don't have colored cups, don't despair. For the eyes, you can use colored paper, cardboard, tennis balls, and for the nose - plasticine, a cone made of colored paper. No bucket to cover your snowman's head? Put on a knitted cap, this will make the toy look even more original. Usually the body of a snowman is decorated with "buttons". It can be, for example, tennis balls, and maybe even after reading this article, you will no longer wonder how to make a snowman out of plastic cups with your own hands, and decide to try your hand.

DIY snowman from plastic glasses

Materials: plastic cups, stapler, felt, hat and scarf.

1. Let's build the first level of a snowman from plastic glasses - this is the middle layer of the ball. The number of cups depends on the size of the snowman you want. We fasten the cups together with a stapler.

2. We build the next layer in a checkerboard pattern, distributing the cups, fastening them with a stapler to each other in the second level and with the first level of cups.

3. We continue to build levels until a closed ball is formed. Half is ready.

4. Turn over the hemisphere (as in the photo) and continue building levels until you get a ball.

5. We make the second ball from plastic cups of other sizes. We take into account that the large ball is the body and the smaller one is the head of the snowman. From here we calculate the number of cups for the average main level (either more or less than for the previous ball). Create the entire second ball.

6. Decorating according to your taste. Cut out eyes, nose, buttons from felt. We attach them to the snowman with a stapler or glue. Top hat or hat, scarf and snowman are ready.

Christmas trees from plastic cups

Creating a Christmas tree from plastic cups or coffee paper cups follows the same principle as creating a snowman. See detailed photos and videos above.
However, the layers of the cups are not stapled to the bottom or top row of paper cups. One tier is fastened with a stapler only to each other. The creation of this tree is a longer, painstaking and costly process. Since one tier consists of many cups, it is not empty inside, but consists of cups fastened together and, ultimately, is attached to the frame. And so every row.

Easter arrangement of disposable cups

The composition consists of an Easter bunny and a basket.

The hare was done as follows: first, Sonya painted a transparent cup white. While it was drying, she cut out the ears, which I painted on cardboard, and then from pink paper - the inside of the ears and glued the cut out details. Dad cut holes in the bottom of the cup and put in his ears. In conclusion, I drew a face with felt-tip pens.

My husband and I made the basket. He cut the glass into strips, leaving the bottom intact. I folded the strips in a circle. The handle was glued with a pistol. Then I cut several thin strips of colored paper to make "hay and straw", which I put in a basket, and on top - toy eggs.

Animals from the fairy tale "Kolobok"

I thought for a long time what we should do to make it simple, but interesting. And I decided to make simple animals, but not separately, but for a fairy tale. Namely for. Therefore, the craft is called "Animals from the fairy tale" Kolobok ".

At home we only had transparent plastic cups, and we used them. I prepared in advance (drew and cut out) the necessary details from colored paper (ears, eyes, noses and mustaches) and put them all together in a bowl. When the eldest son came from the kindergarten, a bun (a ready-made kinder ball) rolled up to him and asked him to help him make animals from a fairy tale.

We remembered who was there: a hare, a wolf, a bear and a fox. First, the gingerbread man asked his son to sort the parts and determine what belongs to whom. Then we glued the details to the cups with a glue-pencil and drew the pupils and mouths with a felt-tip pen. The younger one watched all this time and tried to tear off what we had already glued)) And then my son and I played a fairy tale in roles. My son really liked it. In the evening, he himself showed the story to dad once again, while I put the younger one to bed.

Materials used: 4 plastic cups, colored paper, scissors, glue stick, black felt-tip pen.

Cheburilka is the sister of Cheburashka

Today we have a new friend, Cheburashka's sister - the girl Cheburilka. Since I did not have a disposable paper cup, and it would be more convenient with it, I filled the existing plastic disposable cup for density with crumpled paper, sealed the bottom with tape.

The body was made of brown cardboard, and a circle of cardboard was glued on top. I cut out large ears from cardboard of a similar color, glued them with glue and tape. I cut an oval out of plain white paper and drew a face, which I glued to the blank.

With the help of double-sided tape, I decorated our Cheburilka with a bow. Olesya liked the heroine, she wore it with other heroes all day!

I thought for a long time what to come up with from glasses, but absolutely nothing came to my mind. And when I went to the store for glasses, only transparent ones were available. It was a surprise for me. I imagined paper white or with a drawing. I decided to use this flaw and turn it into dignity. Do not disappear the same transparency. Moreover, the theme of occupations in the city of professions is “Restaurant”. That's how it all came together and the idea of a children's bar was born.

After direct use or buying a new disposable tableware, you can give it a second life - make various crafts out of it with your own hands. Moreover, such an activity is suitable for both young children and adults, it all depends on the complexity of the idea.

Ladybug made of plastic spoons

Everyone remembers and loves beautiful red bugs with black dots from childhood. Any child, no doubt, will enjoy making such crafts from disposable tableware.

To work, you will need the following tools and materials:

  • Three disposable spoons;
  • Flat button without through holes;
  • White, red and black acrylic paints;
  • Paint brush;
  • Scissors;
  • Wire;
  • Glue gun.

At the very beginning, you need to paint the prepared spoons, apply red on two spoons, and black on one. After the paint has completely dried on red spoons, dots should be drawn in black. The button also needs to be painted black, and the eyes should be painted on the sides with white paint.

Now you need to cut off the handles from the spoons using scissors, trimming the edges for beauty.

The next step is to glue the red wing spoons by stacking them one on top of the other. This is where you need a glue gun.

Then the finished wings are glued to the black spoon-body of the ladybug.

A button-head is glued to the base of the wing spoons. If you want, you can make a mustache out of wire and glue them to an impromptu head.

A thicker wire is glued to the black spoon so that the ladybug can be seated on a flower pot. Thus, our ladybug from spoons is ready, now you can send it to flowers.

You can watch the video about how to make snowdrops from plastic spoons.

Fan of disposable forks

You can create any kind of crafts from disposable tableware, even from forks. For example, you can make a beautiful and practical fan for girls.

For this we need:

  • 22 disposable forks;
  • Red and white lace;
  • Red satin ribbons;
  • Beads;
  • Glue;
  • Cardboard or disposable paper plate;
  • CD-ROM;
  • Simple pencil;
  • Scissors.

We draw a CD-disk over a cardboard or paper plate with a pencil, cut a circle along the contour and cut it exactly into two halves. By outside we lay out the main attribute in a semicircle so that the heads of the forks are tightly pressed against each other. In this position, the forks are glued to the cardboard semicircle with handles, about two centimeters from the edge. And a second semicircle made of cardboard is glued on top.

Now you can start decorating the fan. Flowers are cut out of white lace and glued to each fork. You can also thread red lace between the handles of the forks at the base of the fan, and glue lace flowers with beads on the cardboard and fasten a satin ribbon bow in the very center. This craft, despite its apparent fragility, can last a long time if you use high-quality materials when creating.

Kids crafts from disposable plates

The smallest craftsmen and craftswomen can easily make crafts from disposable plates. Having at hand white paper plates, paints, brushes, colored paper and glue, you can make interesting faces of animals or fairy-tale characters from ordinary plates, as well as assorted fruits.

For this, a plate is taken, painted in the desired color and decorated with pre-cut paper elements, although you can cope with the help of some paints. Thus, a set of ordinary disposable plates turns into a whole zoo or a fairy tale.

Crafts from plastic cups

Anything can be done from disposable cups - from a children's toy to an interior detail, it all depends on the imagination of the master. For example, having a glass, a marker and straws, you can make a funny deer, which is shown in the photo.

And with the help of colored plastic cups, scissors and rhinestones, excellent flowers are made to decorate the walls for the holiday.

With a little more effort, a whole bunch of beautiful flowers can be assembled from multi-colored cups.

You can watch a master class on making a snowman from plastic cups in the video presented.

As you can see from the above, you can make various crafts from disposable tableware with your own hands, be it forks, spoons, cups or a set of plates.

If you want to paint wine glasses for yourself or as a gift, for a wedding or for a theme party, rest assured that you will get great pleasure from creativity - this is done easily, quickly and inexpensively.

Before proceeding to step-by-step master class for painting glasses with your own hands, you need to decide on the future design of your glasses, so we suggest you get inspired and learn original ideas Glass decor in the next chapter.

The painting of glasses and wine glasses can be different in drawing technique, in the degree of complexity, in the use of materials and, of course, in the subject matter.

Master class # 1: Confetti-style glasses

Wine glasses decorated with small polka dots look very festive and can be either elegant, as in the photo below, or cheerful multi-colored. The circles are associated with champagne bubbles or bright confetti.

Difficulty level: very simple.

What you need: acrylic or contour paints for glass and ceramics, ordinary nail polish (but acrylic paints are much more durable) or a special marker for painting dishes are also suitable. To degrease glasses, prepare nail polish remover, degreaser or alcohol, for drawing - cotton swabs, a pencil with an eraser at the end or a small hard synthetic brush, and for correcting the pattern - cotton pads and swabs.

Painting technique:

  1. Thoroughly wash and degrease the glass with alcohol or another cleaner using cotton pads or a tissue.
  2. Now you can start drawing circles. Squeeze some paint into a small container or just onto foil (paper, file).

Turn the glass over and start dotting from top to bottom, keeping the same spacing between them. You can draw points as in this master class, that is, starting from large to smaller, gradually increasing the distance between them. Otherwise, the dots can be the same size, different in color, and they can also form a pattern or pattern ( point technique to point or pique), as well as slightly layering on top of each other.

Advice:

  • It is convenient to put large dots with a pencil eraser, and small ones with a brush or cotton swab with a pointed end as in the photo below (scroll through).

  • It is better to maintain a distance of about 2 cm from the edge of the glass to the picture, especially if the paint is toxic.
  • If you draw with contours, then first you need to practice on paper to put small, medium and large points at the same distance from each other and with the same degree of pressure on the tube.

  1. Now you need to let the paint dry. Drying methods largely depend on the paint, usually the manufacturer indicates the drying time and the instructions for firing.
  • Typically, acrylic or outline painting requires firing if you want to use the glasses frequently and wash them in the dishwasher. To do this, you need to put the glasses in the oven at a temperature of 150-170 degrees for 30 minutes, and then turn off the oven, and without removing the glasses from it, let them cool naturally;
  • Markers dry 24 hours and do not need firing;

  • Nail polish dries quickly, but the drawing will not last long, so this option will not work for decorating gift or wedding glasses that you want to leave as a keepsake. But for holding theme parties better paint is not found.

And here are other ideas for painting glasses with multi-colored polka dots that will decorate any at a fun party (scroll the photo to the right).

Polka dots of gold, silver, white colors are more suitable for decorating wedding glasses.

By the way, circles can be not only drawn, but also glued. You can buy vinyl self-adhesive paper of the desired color and cut circles out of it using a hole punch or special scissors, and then carefully glue them to the glass. The photo below shows glasses decorated in this way.

Master class number 2: Artistic painting of glasses

In this master class, we will turn glasses into flowers, because its leg is so similar to a stalk, and a bowl - to a bud.

Difficulty level: average.

What you need: any degreaser, cotton pads and cotton swabs for degreasing and correcting the pattern. Prepare artistic synthetic brushes for painting different sizes, a plastic plate or palette for mixing paints, and acrylic paints on glass and ceramics. If desired, you can supplement the drawing with contour and stained glass paints, markers and glitter.

Painting technique:

  1. Degrease the surface;
  2. We mix paints on a plate or palette, achieving the desired shades. In order to make the color pastel and delicate, color paint is mixed with white;
  3. Now we need to draw the stamens: we put points with a narrow small brush or a cotton swab with a pointed end. The pollen color can be black, yellow or orange. In our master class, yellow is used for drawing the stamens of lilac Italian asters and black for sunflowers.

Further, the flower will be drawn in layers, so you need to wait until the drawn stamens dry. You can dry them naturally, leaving them for 2 hours, or bake them in the oven at 150-170 degrees for 15 minutes.

  1. Once the painted pollen is dry, you need to draw the petals as shown in the photo below. If desired, add details - streaks and color nuances. Then you need to let the paint dry (see item 3).

  1. The last step - we draw the peduncle and the stem in green and bake our glass flower again, but now it's already 30 minutes - and then the paint won't "peel off" from the glass for a very long time.

Well, that's all, the decor of wedding, gift or holiday glasses is complete.

In the photo below you can find others interesting ideas paintings with floral and plant motifs (scroll through).

And here are examples of painting on glass with peacock feathers.

The theme of flora and fauna is also very popular.

Glasses for a festive serving of themed parties can be decorated in a bright and funny way.

Glasses as a gift or for a wedding can be additionally decorated with rhinestones, feathers, pearls, sparkles, ribbons and other decor.

Other ways and secrets of painting on glass: how to dry a glass with a painted leg and use a stencil or sketch

  • If you want to completely paint over the base of the glass, that is, paint over its bottom from below, then you need to dry it hanging or carefully placing it on a homemade structure made of paper and four buttons as in the photo below.

  • Painting on glass is easier to do with a do-it-yourself backing sketch or printed in the right size on a printer. You can also use the drawing on a napkin. The paper with the image must be laid on the bottom of the glass, aligned and glued with tape as shown in the photo.

Stencils will also help in painting on glass with your own hands. To do this, you need:

  1. Draw them yourself or print a picture from the Internet, and then cut out with a clerical knife;

  1. Buy ready-made stencils in the store for creativity, which are very easy to stick and peel off;

  1. You can draw stripes, geometric abstractions and the simplest patterns according to the principle of a stencil using ordinary or masking tape;

  1. You can get the effect of an openwork pattern if you use lace as a stencil.

Tip: you can apply inscriptions or images through a stencil with a special matting paint on glass with the effect of frost or frost, which is sold in art or online stores. An example of such a decor is in the photo below.

The middle of winter is a good time to think about vitamins. I propose to grow green onions on the windowsill, but not in ordinary glasses, but decorated with cheerful faces.
